Global UFGL Rules
- No person must be registered under two different clans. This is considered as "multi-clanning" and is illegal. A player may only be registered under two different clans if both clans are not in any of the same ladders.
- "Freelancing" is considered illegal. A default win will be awarded to the opposing team if a player is found to be outsourcing players who are not registered under their clan. That clan will also receive a 20point penalty in that ladder for doing so.
- To be eligible for a war, a player must appear on the clan's roster, with a valid anti-cheat id entered into their profile and have been registered with that clan for at least two days.
Forum Use
- Forums are to be used for social, war arranging, game related and news update purposes only.
- No advertising is permitted on the forum except that of our sponsors, any illegal advertising will be deleted and that user banned from the forum
- Any clan/person seen to be ‘flaming’ or posting comments with the intent to cause arguments will receive penalty points against his/her clan. On first offense their clan will be deducted 5 points from all ladders participated in as well as that user receiving a 1 week ban from the forum. Any further incidents by clan or member will result in a greater punishment at the discretion of the UFGL admins.
Before Challenging
- It is recommended that all wars should be arranged through E-mail or any instant messaging application and then challenge the other team officially through the UFGL system.
Challenging & Counter-Challenging
Challenging & Counter-Challenging
- Please ensure you define which server you will be playing the war on.
- Please ensure that you mention any weapon limits that you wish to impose during the war.
- If a challenge is made at least 7 days in advance of the war and the challenge is ignored, 10 points will be deducted from the challenged team. If the challenged team is #1 in that ladder, #1 will be awarded to the clan directly below them in the table.
- If you already have 2 wars arranged in a ladder, and you are challenged by another clan, you can opt to cancel this challenge. Please note that you must process the challenge as cancelled or you will be deducted points for ignoring the challenge (see above).
- Any team can challenge #1 in a ladder. However, you can only become #1 if you defeat #1 AND you are in the top 5.
- Clans may only issue one challenge at a time to another clan in the same ladder, however if there is a challenge which has been accepted, they may issue another challenge. If a clan has received multiple challenges from another clan for the same ladder they must report this to the relevant ladder admin.
- If a clan is unhappy about playing a match on a particular server they may request to play the match on another server, or if both clans cannot agree to a server to play the match on, the match can be played 50/50 on both servers. However, this must be arranged prior to the war, once the challenge has be accepted it is understood that you are accepting all terms & conditions of the war including the server which the war is to be played on.
During the War
- If one team does not show up within 15 minutes of the specified start time, then the other team may claim a default win.
- The start time/war date may be changed as long as both teams agree. Please inform the ladder admin of this change in case one team fails to show up.
- A war may still go ahead if a team shows up under the player limit decided if they agree to continue the war is still official. The limit is 2 players below the agreed team size.
- If one team is using bad language or 'flaming', that team will then be deducted 10points on first offense with that player being suspended for a week.
- Please use DMW Anti-Cheat. Cheating is not tolerated in UFGL. If DMW is not available, we request that the war is re-arranged to a date when it will be.
- If a conflict does occur, screenshots must be provided to the ladder admin as evidence to prove that the problem did in fact occur.
- RCON passwords should never be given out unless you really feel you need to. This is to protect your own interests as your server may be tinkered with in inappropriate ways.
- Bad sportsmanship is not acceptable in any cases.
- The maximum amount of time for a substitution to be made is 5 minutes.
- Any team has the right to pause the game for a substitute of another player but this must be done between rounds. They have 5 minutes to join the server.
- Spectating is not allowed under any circumstances.
- Any player spectating for more than 5 seconds during a round is required to be kicked from the server. Screenshots are required if a team claims that a player has been spectating for a prolonged amount of time.
- No player must go onto roofs or be boosted into any place (i.e. wall). Screenshots are required for a conflict
- Door blocking is not allowed under any circumstances. This is considered bad sportsmanship and can result in a default win to the opposing team if screenshots are supplied.
- Forcing skins is allowed unless it is mentioned in the war notes when challenging.
- All players must be registered under the clan to be eligible to play.
- Once a match has begun, it is then deemed that both sides have agreed to play the match with those settings. Any complaints or conflicts regarding server settings from this point, will then not be vaild and therefore ignored.
Conflicts
- When raising a conflict please make sure your provide sufficient evidence to support your claim. (Examples – Screenshot of incident, DMW Log)
- Please allow up to 7 days for your conflict to be processed, in this time we would appreciate it if clans do not ‘harass’ admins to sort the conflict as they may have several conflicts/tasks which they are currently looking into and this may result in slowing down the process.
- Details of conflicts must be e-mailed or sent via private message to admins and must not appear on the forums, any threads on forums regarding conflicts will be deleted and ignored.
- Details of the original match must be included, this should include a link to the original war where possible so that the admin can view any notes which have been added.
Anticheat IDs
- All players must have inputted their anti-cheat ID (i.e. DMW, Punkbuster, Steam) to be eligible to play.
- Should a player have an anticheat ID entered but, during a war, use a different ID, the player in question will be banned for one week. His/Her clan will also be deducted a 10 point in the relevant ladder for each offense (on first offense), however a default victory may not be awarded to the opposing clan.
- If a clan member should continue to use the wrong anti-cheat id, they shall be then be banned for double the duration of the previous ban as well as receiving double the point deduction for their clan, on the 4th account of this happening; they will receive a full season ban.
- If a clan has more than one member not using the correct anti-cheat id, the clan will the face a 10point deduction in that particular ladder as well as the 10 point deduction per player. (For example – If a clan plays a war with 2 member using the incorrect anti-cheat ids then that clan will be deducted 30 points in that ladder.)
Score Confirmation
- At the end of every war, both Team Leaders must confirm the score with each other before it is entered into the UFGL system to prevent disputes.
- If there is a dispute over the score, screenshots must be provided to the Ladder Admin for all rounds or the dispute will be made void.
- If for any reason a DMW Scanner screenshot cannot be taken of another player or it comes up blank or distorted, then that player will not be allowed to play the war, unless agreed by both teams.
- If requested by either team, both teams should take a 'path' screenshot which shows what files you have in your main directory. If there is any conflict, please contact the Ladder Admin.
- A score must be confirmed within 4 days of the score being input. After this time, the score will automatically be confirmed. If there is a conflict, please process the war as conflicted, otherwise the score will automatically be confirmed - this is not reversable.
Playoffs
- At the end of each season a playoff for each ladder will be held to determine the eventual ladder winners. The format of the playoffs are as follows… 5th Place Vs. 2nd Place
- Final Positions and playoff fixtures are to be announced by ladder admins
- Ladder admins will arrange between the clans involved the server in which the playoff matches will take place. Dates for playoff matches will be posted by the relevant ladder admins, in which all matches must be played within this time unless agreed over wise with the ladder admin. Clans which fail to play matches within this time will forfeit the match and there eventual opponents will receive a bye.
3rd Place Vs. 4th Place
The eventual winners of these matches will then face each other for the right to play the final match against the clan which finished 1st place to decide who wins the ladder.
There are also more specific rules for each ladder. To view these, visit that ladder's page and click the 'Ladder Rules' button.
